1. What cookies are

Not every website uses all of these technologies.

2. Current use on this website

The current Ceravella White Works website code is designed to operate without non-essential analytics, advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. The site uses locally hosted front-end resources and does not intentionally load Google Fonts, third-party analytics pixels, embedded YouTube or Vimeo players, or an external form-processing service. Core navigation and page interactions are implemented with local files.

Normal website hosting may still involve technical server logs and security controls. Depending on the hosting environment used when the site is deployed, the host or security layer may use strictly necessary identifiers for load balancing, security, abuse prevention or session integrity. Such functionality is controlled by the deployed infrastructure and should be limited to what is reasonably necessary.

3. Categories of technologies

Strictly necessary technologies

These technologies are required for a service expressly requested by the user or for core security and network functions. Examples can include session integrity, security tokens, load balancing and preference storage that is essential to a requested feature. Where applicable law permits these without consent, they may operate on the basis of necessity. They should not be repurposed for behavioural advertising.

Preference technologies

Preference storage can remember choices such as language or display settings. The current site does not intentionally set a dedicated preference cookie. If preference functionality is added later, this Policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required.

Analytics technologies

Analytics tools can measure visits, page use, performance and interaction patterns. The current site code does not intentionally deploy a third-party analytics cookie or analytics pixel. If analytics are added later, we will assess whether consent is required and will provide appropriate controls before activating non-essential analytics for visitors to whom consent rules apply.

Advertising and profiling technologies

Advertising technologies can recognise a browser or device across services and build profiles for targeted advertising. The current website does not intentionally deploy advertising, remarketing or cross-site behavioural-tracking cookies.

4. Contact form and email links

The website contact form is configured to prepare an enquiry in the visitor’s email client. The website itself does not need a third-party form-processing cookie to perform this function. Your chosen email application or provider may process information and may use its own cookies or device storage when you use that provider. Those technologies are governed by the provider’s terms and privacy information rather than this Cookie Policy.

5. Local storage and session storage

Web storage is a browser feature similar to cookies but technically distinct. The current site does not intentionally use browser local storage or session storage to build advertising or analytics profiles. Locally hosted interface libraries may maintain temporary in-memory state for visual components without creating persistent tracking identifiers.

6. Legal basis and consent

In Australia, privacy obligations concerning information associated with cookies may arise where the information is personal information under applicable law. For visitors protected by GDPR and European rules on storing or accessing information on a device, non-essential technologies may require consent. Where consent is required, it must be obtained before the relevant non-essential technology is activated and must be capable of being withdrawn as easily as it was given.

Because the current site is designed without non-essential tracking cookies, a consent banner is not necessary merely to display a banner. If the technical configuration changes so that consent becomes legally required, we will implement a suitable consent mechanism and update this Policy before using the relevant technology.

7. How to control cookies in your browser

Most browsers allow you to view, delete or block cookies and control site-data permissions. Browser controls vary, so consult the privacy or site-data settings in your browser. Blocking all cookies can affect websites that rely on strictly necessary session or preference functionality, although the current Ceravella White Works pages are designed to remain usable without non-essential cookies.

You can also clear browsing data after a session. Deleting cookies from one browser or device does not delete cookies stored in another browser, browser profile or device. Private-browsing modes may use separate storage rules.

8. Do Not Track and browser privacy signals

Browsers and extensions may send signals expressing a preference not to be tracked. Standards and legal effects vary by jurisdiction. Because the current site does not intentionally deploy cross-site behavioural advertising or analytics tracking, it does not need to create a separate advertising profile in response to such a signal. If our practices change, we will assess relevant legal requirements and recognised privacy signals.

9. Retention

Where a strictly necessary cookie or similar identifier is used by deployed infrastructure, its retention should be limited to the period reasonably necessary for the security, session or network purpose for which it is used. If we introduce other cookie categories, this Policy or a consent interface will describe appropriate durations or expiry periods where required.

10. Third-party content

The current website is designed not to embed third-party video players or remote font services. If we later add third-party content, that content may be capable of setting or reading cookies when loaded. We will assess the privacy impact and, where necessary, prevent non-essential third-party content from loading until valid consent has been obtained.

11. Security

Cookies and browser storage should not be treated as a secure place for sensitive secrets unless specifically designed and protected for that purpose. We do not intentionally store payment credentials or sensitive personal information in browser cookies. Security-related cookies, if used by hosting infrastructure, should use appropriate settings such as Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite where technically suitable.

12. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy if the website begins to use new technologies, if hosting or security arrangements change, or if legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page. Material changes to non-essential cookie practices will be accompanied by any consent or notice mechanism required by applicable law.
